A couple of my friends organised the most gorgeous hens party (which is a random Australian term for a bachelorette/bridal shower) for another of our friends on the weekend. It was such a nice lunch and the girls did such an amazing job decorating - and because we were all keen to spend our money on the more important things (like wine) they did a mind blowing job on a budget. I was particularly taken with these gorgeous mason jar centerpieces - used as vases and furnished with different white flowers including roses and daisies. The afterparty was at the bride's house which was decked out so beautifully - but sadly I had consumed too much of said wine to take any decent photos. A big thank you to the girls for putting on such an amazing event and giving me a few ideas for my next beachside lunch in Hong Kong. All my friend did to make these amazing centerpieces was to buy some jars from a wholesaler in Brisbane, wrap some rough twine around the rim and tie in a bow, and then fill with water and flowers. Simple!
