Info Post
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Today's topic is:

Top Ten Books To Read In A Day
So I'm kind of assuming this topic means books that you couldn't put down, that you think were worthy of just devouring as soon as possible.  Yes? Maybe? We'll just go with it!

1. The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
I should be banned from choosing this because it is seriously on every. list. ever.

2. If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Forman
Whenever I talk about this book, I always mention a review I read way back when - I sincerely wish I could remember where I read it (if you know, please tell me so I can give proper credit!) - that said "If I Stay broke me, and Where She Went put me back together."  There is so much truth in that. These books are beautiful and stunning and I dare you to start these and even try to set it down before you've finished.

3. The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
This is one of those books that is so adorable and charming that you have to love it. At just 236 pages, it's entirely possible to read it in a few hours; and I really, really think you should. It's perfect. (Read my review here!)

4. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
I debated putting this on here because I think this is actually a book to savor, and it was definitely one I had to set down for small (very, very short) moments because it was all so overwhelming and beautiful I couldn't take it. But I totally powered through it, and I think you need to befriend Hazel and Augustus and Isaac AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. (Read my review here!)

5. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
Similar to The Fault In Our Stars (in reaction, not in story), I think this one is meant to be savored -- but it's so beautiful and you just want to hug Lennie and smother Joe in beautiful sunshine-y kisses that you need to read this all at once. (Read my review here and my favourite quotes from the book here!)

6. Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
I have not read Anna and the French Kiss yet, but I suspect that if I did, it would also be here on this list. In any case, Lola and the Boy Next Door is close to the perfect YA book, filled with fun and personality and love and a sweet boy and just a little heartbreak with a hell of a lot of warmth. You'll fall in love with Lola and Cricket as fast as you should read this.

7. Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard
I think I gushed enough in my review (read it here!), but Bria is one of my most favourite literary characters ever. She is strong and lost and brave and searching and filled with so much to give.  Following along her adventure of backpacking through Central America is breathtaking and heart wrenching and stunning and you just get swept into all the adventures. Please, please read it if you haven't.

8. Across the Universe by Beth Revis
Included because I couldn't stop reading it when I started: you really feel the torture of Amy as she's stuck on this ship, the quiet hopeless desperation of Elder and Harley as they struggle within the confines of their lives...it's a wonderful Dystopian.

9. Dash & Lily's Book of Dares OR Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
I mention these two a lot because I genuinely believe Rachel & David can do no wrong when they're together; both books are fast and playful, filled with adventure and intrigue and you just get whisked away into the night (or week) with each character as they discover each other and the fullness of life.

10. The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan
Not just because it can be read in a day, but because it's a neat concept of defining terms as a way to tell a story. It's simple in theory but so descriptive of the complexities of life and love and how we struggle to maintain it all together.
